What is the size of 3D models and how can I change it?

Hello, dear customers!

In this article, we will explain what dimensions the 3D models in the 3D-STL online store have and how to change them.

In fact, the original dimensions of any model available in our online store do not matter, because you can change them however you wish. You can enlarge or reduce the model proportionally by height, width, and relief depth, or adjust each dimension independently — the choice is entirely yours. How can this be done?

Option 1:
1) Import the purchased 3D model into ArtCAM. How is this done in ArtCAM 2010 and later versions? How is this done in ArtCAM 2009 and earlier versions?

2) In the "Paste 3D Model" window, edit the required height, width, and relief depth values.
3) Click "Apply" » "Paste". Done!

Option 2:
1) If the model has already been placed in the 3D workspace:
2) Open the "Model" tab
» "Set Size".
3) Click "OK". This will resize the model proportionally.

Option 3:
1) If the model has already been placed in the 3D workspace:
2) Open the "Model" tab
» "Set Size Asymmetrically".
3) Click
"Apply" » "OK". This allows you to resize the model without preserving its original proportions.

All three options are suitable for any version of ArtCAM.

Thank you for your attention! We wish you a pleasant shopping experience at the 3D-STL online store!
